Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the air nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." Luke 9:58, Matthew 8:20
Jack Reacher is a nomad, never settling down in any one place. This Catalyzer sweeps in to save the day, but as soon as he completes his goal, he moves on.
And He (Jesus) said to them (His disciples), “Take nothing for journey, neither a staff, nor a bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics apiece. Luke 9:3, Mark 6:8

He takes nothing with him on his journeys. I can't say that Jack Reacher doesn't have money on him because he does buy food, clothes, phones, etc. However, he has only the clothes that he is wearing. If he needs new clothes, he goes to a GoodWill store and donates the clothes he wears into the shop as he walks out of the shop. Possessions are only valued as a means to an end for this Catalyzer.
When Jesus had said this, He became troubled in spirit, and testified and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, that one of you will betray Me.”
... After the morsel, Satan then entered into him (Judas). Therefore Jesus said to him , “What you do, do quickly.” John 13:21,27
Jack Reacher also willingly walks into traps and puts himself in harm's way in order to rescue those in need of his help... the Catalyzer feels most alive when risking life and limb in service to others.
Father,
Thank you for the Jack Reacher books, movies, tv show...he is just a fictional hero on the big screen. But You are our true hero. Thank you for sending Jesus to be the sacrificial lamb that came and died in our place in real life. Thank You that You are a gracious, merciful, covenant-keeping God and that You love us so much.
