Migraines, concussions, and bunny trails...

You may have noticed that I haven't written a blog in several years.  A concussion migraine has severely limited my eye strain endurance. My vision blurs very quickly when I try to read for any length of time... including what I am writing. I can not remember a time that I didn't compulsively read every word before my eyes... cereal boxes, signs, license plates, etc. I am doing much better now. There are days in a row that I don't even notice a mild headache. But all these years later and I must still be careful not to over do it or my migraine comes back with a vengeance. My husband suggested that I start back blogging again. He knows this Persister-Achiever loves to share her opinions as well as supporting facts with anyone who will listen. So I have asked Calvin, said husband, and I am asking that you would join me in praying, as well, that God will use this thorn in the flesh to grow in me patience and to grow my faith... and that it will not impede my doing the good work that He has for me to accomplish. It is my intention to keep my blogs short and a week apart. My favorite topic is Your Unique Design.

Down the Bonny trail we go… funny, true story that I have to share…

When someone says “ Luck,” my mom likes to say : Look Up Christ Knows! I told this to a young lady that responded, “Oh! GROSS! Why would anyone say that! Why would anyone want to do that? Give Jesus a boogie check?!?! Besides, nose is not spelled with a K!” Of course, I managed, through bouts of laughter, to dry my eyes and say, “I’m sure Christ wouldn’t mind us giving Him a boogie check, for that matter, I expect He’d be fine with giving us one if necessary. But I meant knows, not nose." Oh, I laughed so hard after that! I’m even laughing as I type this. Laughter is the best medicine, you know.
